After Training at the Royal College of Art in London I have practised as an artist and teacher at schools of art and secondary schools in the UK.  I am lucky enough now to be able to focus fully on my art practise and have a lovely attic studio with amazing views across to the fells.

My work is usually abstract or semi abstract, but I am inspired by experience and memory, working intuitively to capture my feelings about places I have seen or imagined. 

I build up layers and respond to the colours and marks I make. The titles are meaningful for me, but I like to think the viewer can engage in a journey and freely interpret what they see.
